I would love to know if you’ve ever dyed your hair anything dark. Dark brown… black… um dark red?! 
I am actually a little sad to say that I have NEVER dyed my hair. I wanted, a few years ago, to dye it dark, dark brown, just to see what I would like with such a drastic change, but I never got up the guts to actually follow through with it. I have always been blonde – and I wish I could say that I always will be, but as I age (and have children – yes, it seems related to me!), my hair is progressively getting darker. Alas, I might have to dye it soon … blonde

I used to dye my hair all of the time, but with my hair being really really dark brown/black, it doesn't do much when I dye it. I gave up because I could never get my hair the color I wanted and I felt like I was wasting money. I have always wanted to try blonde, but it would have to be done professionally. I don't want to end up patchy and/or orange. I am terrified to do it though. I love my natural color and I get compliments on it all the time.
I've actually dyed my hair everything from bleach blonde to just a shade lighter than black. And pink and blue too once. I've been content for it to be its natural color for the past 5-6 years. Although I'm getting ancy to have something a little more fun…but it's not likely I'll act on that anytime soon.
I'm already a medium brown – I've only had highlights, but if I were going to dye it, I'd definitely go darker. Dark brown or auburn.
