With the changing of seasons, and back-to-school in full swing, I have a feeling that many of you (like me) are on the hunt for a great deal on kids’ clothing! I was recently sent a sample box of kid’s clothes from a cool new company called Wittlebee! I was thrilled at the opportunity to review this new program for all of you! This probably isn’t the perfect solution for everyone, but I’m sure that at least a few you will find their system refreshing, worthwhile, and appreciate the stress-free nature of “shopping” they provide!
First of all, here’s how Wittlebee works …
For just $39.99/month, they ship new kids clothing items right to your door, with a retail value of $100. There’s free shipping and you can cancel or pause your memebership at any time. Specificially, here’s how you would get started -
1. Sign up for Wittlebee for FREE
2. Fill Out Your Style Profile – Just tell them a wittle bit about yourself and how you dress your kid. This information is used to create your custom box.
3. Signup and Talk to Our Stylists – Complete your membership and first payment ($39.99). One of their expert kid stylists will call or email to confirm your order and answer any questions you may have.
4. Receive Your First Box – Your customized box of clothes arrives at your door in about two weeks. Every box contains about $100 in retail value of clothes. You’ll receive a new box of clothes every month. You can pause or cancel your membership anytime.
5. Social Good Program – for every box shipped, Wittlebee will donate a Onesie to a child in need!
Because I was offered a review box, I didn’t have to sign up or create a style profile, but I think that once you do those things, your personal results can only be better than mine! Instead, I sent Wittlebee my personal information, the age of my child (4 yrs), her gender (female), and her size (5T – to be on the safe side).
What I got in return is the box pictured above. Every box that Wittlebee sends out will contain 6 items of clothing, valuing roughly $100. All of the items are BRAND NEW and have never been worn or washed. All of the original tags have been removed, but in some cases they’ve been replaced by a “Wittlebee tag” that has an item number on it.
Specifically, here’s what I received …
- The Children’s Place Shorts (pink & blue plaid)
- Straw Berry Tank Top with Butterflies
- Tea Collection Full-Length Leggings (yellow)
- Greggy Girl Top (blue with pink & brown flowers)
- Greggy Girl Capris (pink)
- Wittlebee Branded T-Shirt by American Apparel (giraffe)
All in all, I was quite pleased. The Children’s Place shorts were the first item that caught my eye when I opened the box because we already own them – in a size 4 – and love them! So, even though they’re a duplicate item, I am really excited to have them in the next size up! For a typical customer, the least favorite item in the box would probably be the Tea Collection leggings because they’re an (ugly) mustard yellow color – BUT they’re another one of my favorites because we adore anything made by Tea Collection and because they’ll be perfect for football season … GO STEELERS
I had never heard of Greggy Girl before and based on the quality of the fabric and stitching, these items are not something I would normally purchase. They feel like they’ll barely make it through one washing cycle before a hole pops up or they start fading – though we’ll see; I could be terribly wrong! The outfit (pictured right) is adorable, and Bella loved “twirling” in it!
When you do the math, each item works out to be $6.67 each. When you view it that way, I absolutely think that the box would be worth the overall cost for my family!! Tea Collection items can be very pricey, so I know those are a steal! Paying $6-$7 for the other items seems fair to me as well. Again, once you fill out the style profile, your personal results can only turn out better than mine – not that I was displeased at all!
If you’re looking for an easy and fun way to get your hands on some new kid’s clothing at a discounted price, Wittlebee is definitely worth a look (and try)! For a limited time, you can get $15 off your first box with promo code: BLOGHER12. If you’re not pleased, or feel that you don’t need new clothes every month, you can cancel or pause your subscription at any time!
Be sure to visit the Wittlebee site and look at other sample boxes they’ve provided! I think this would make a great Baby Shower gift … or, even better, the perfect way for grandparents to give new clothes to distant grandkids each month!!! They do offer a “gift” option on the website, making this very simple to do.
